How long does it take to refinish my kitchen cabinets?

On an average size kitchen, it takes about 10 days to do a proper and thorough job. The first week we will come in and remove all the door and drawer fronts to take them back to our shop for a deep clean and then to spray 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of the desired topcoat. You are able to use your kitchen throughout this time. The second week we will be on-site and will need the cabinets emptied out (for liability reasons) and appliances moved. You will not have access to your kitchen during this time in order to get a factory like finish we need it to be fully contained and undisturbed. At the end of the second week you will get your brand new kitchen back!

Why can't you refinish my cabinets in 1-3 days like other companies?

At Goldys, we believe you can't rush a perfect job. As the saying goes "Rome wasn't built in a day" pertains to your cabinets too. We schedule our jobs with enough time to make sure everything is to 100% satisfaction, even if it takes us longer than our competitors. Quality is not something we are going to push aside just to make a deadline.

Will it smell or create dust in my home?

We use industrial grade WATER BASED products that will not leave a smell like the old lacquers. Our work area is completely contained so there is no dust or debris getting into the remainder of your house.

How much room do you need to work?

Kitchens - We need the complete kitchen and usually a small-medium sized adjoining room to stage all of our equipment and materials for your professional refinish job.

Other cabinets/vanities - We need just the room or a 6' x 6' area surrounding the item being finished.
